Kin Leslie Caldwell Bursary Application

Kin Leslie was a member of the Kin Club of Bolton for over 20 years. She was truly a caring person who touched so many lives. Her smile would light up a room and her caring heart always put others first. Her dedication to volunteerism was second to none. Everyone who knew her would say "the world was a better place because of Kin Leslie".

In her honour, the Kin Club of Bolton has established the Kin Leslie Caldwell Bursary and it will be presented on a yearly basis to an individual for their outstanding volunteerism and school academics. The bursary will be in the amount of $1,000.00. This bursary will be awarded annually to a Town of Caledon High School graduating fourth year student. These schools include Humberview Secondary School, St. Michael's Catholic Secondary School, Mayfield Secondary School and Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School.

To be eligible you must:

1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in the Town of Caledon and attended Humberview Secondary School, St. Michael's Catholic Secondary School, Mayfield Secondary School or Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School.

2. Plan to register as a full-time student in the up-coming school year at a recognized postsecondary institution (e.g. University, College, Trade School, Technical Institute)

3. Demonstrate high ideals, community involvement and knowledge of Kin

4. Not have previously received the Kin Leslie Caldwell Bursary

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Complete all sections of the current application form and submit by MARCH 31. Email the completed application form to boltonkin@gmail.com. If you have questions, contact the Kin Club of Bolton via the email address.

NOTES:

The responsibility for the completed application form rests with the applicant; be sure to answer ALL questions. You may attach additional pages if there is not enough space to answer a question.

Any information provided may be subject to authentication. All information on the application form will be held in the strictest confidence. Bursary recipients will be required to submit proof of citizenship (Government-issued ID such as: Canadian birth certificate, passport, certificate of citizenship, certificate of Indian Status, Health Card, Provincial Photo Card, or Permanent Resident Card) and proof of registration prior to funds being released. 

Applicants are asked to provide information about their upcoming post secondary education goals, their strategy for obtaining financial resources to pay for their future education, their secondary school academic achievement, their activity in school extra-curricular programs and their contributions to the betterment of the community.

The Club will judge the applications it receives and will select one recipient by MAY 1. You will be contacted if you are the successful candidate. All decisions are final.
