The Terry Fox Run
in Bolton celebrates and honours Terry Fox's heroic attempt in 1980
to run across Canada to raise funds for cancer research.
The
Kinsmen Club of Bolton is proud to organize the event for our area as
part of our service to the community. ALL funds raised by participants
go directly to the Terry Fox Foundation. Participants are invited to
stroll, walk, run, bike, roller skate, skate board or any other non-motorized
way to go around the courses.
We
have organized 3 courses staffed with water stations, all courses passing
some of the most pleasant areas of Bolton. For people who take their
running more seriously, we have a challenging 10.0km course defined.
The 10K run (starting at 9:00AM SHARP) will be timed and the finish
photographed. All courses take advantage of the river and parks in or
community. See below for route details.
After
making their way around the course, participants end up back at the
Kinsmen Centre where they are invited for free burgers, hot dogs and
refreshments.
